Citizens of Azerbaijan who put on the international wanted list are extradited from the Russian Federation
Citizens of Azerbaijan put on the international wanted list have been extradited from Russia to their homeland. According to Report news agency this was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan.
“In accordance with the requirements of the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases of October 7, 2002, the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office for the extradition of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elturan Emil Dashdemirov, Sarkhan Ogtay Mamedov, Abbasov Parviz Gazanfar oglu and Dadashzade Aydin Ayaz oglu was satisfied by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation,” the department noted.
The Prosecutor General’s Office recalled that Elturan Dashdamirov was charged with kidnapping committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy with the use of violence, Sarkhan Mamedov – with fraud and bribery causing significant damage, Parviz Abbasov – with sexual contacts with persons under the age of majority, Aydin Dadashzade – in committing crimes related to misappropriation or embezzlement on a large scale. All the accused were put on the international wanted list for hiding from the investigation.
They were detained on the territory of the Russian Federation on October 16 and extradited to Azerbaijan, accompanied by a special convoy of the penitentiary service of the Ministry of Justice.
