A new educational program in the specialty “Information Security” has been developed in Azerbaijan

A new educational program has been developed in Azerbaijan that meets modern requirements at the undergraduate level, in the specialty “Information Security”. As Oxu.Az reports, this was stated by the head of the State Security Service (SSS) Ali Nagiyev in an address to the participants of the Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge 2023 event in Baku.

According to him, the new program was developed on the joint initiative of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Science and Education, with the participation of representatives of the country’s leading higher educational institutions and various government agencies, with the involvement of Azerbaijani specialists working in prestigious universities and companies around the world, based on the experience of such developed countries, like Turkey, Germany, Switzerland and the USA.

“The Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge 2023 event, held for the first time in Azerbaijan to develop the capabilities of protecting against cyber attacks in critical information systems and managing information systems in crisis situations, is of particular importance,” A. Nagiyev emphasized.
