A criminal case has been opened into the death of 2 oil workers

In connection with the incident that resulted in the death of employees of the Neftgaztikinti trust, the official was held personally liable. According to APA, on August 24, 2023, during scheduled repair work, employees of the Neftgaztikinti trust of the Oil and Gas Production Administration named after. Narimanov PA Azneft, assembler Agamammadov Shirvan Atash oglu, born in 1960, and welder Narimanov Shamo Metleb oglu, born in 1984, fell into the sea as a result of the collapse of concrete slabs. As a result of search and rescue operations, the workers’ bodies were recovered from the water.

Mirzoyev Samir Zahimaga oglu, who is one of the officials of the department and responsible for safety at construction, was brought to justice and charged under Article 222.4 of the Criminal Code. He is accused of violating safety rules during construction, mining and other work, resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence. A preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against him.

The preliminary investigation against the accused has been completed and sent for consideration to the Baku Court of Grave Crimes. The criminal case was transferred to judge Sabuhi Huseynov.
