Officials who created conditions for the movement of goods across the customs border were exposed

The prosecutor’s office of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) conducted an investigation based on materials received from the Main Customs Department about the uncontrolled movement of various medicines from the Republic of Turkey into the country from the Sadarak customs post, oxu.az reports with reference to the NAR prosecutor’s office.

During the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that a group of customs officers created conditions for the movement of 25 types of medicines into the country without their state registration.

Based on this fact, the prosecutor’s office of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic opened a criminal case under articles 200-1.2.2 (illegal trafficking in medicines by a group of persons by prior conspiracy or organized group), 308.1 (abuse of official powers) and 311.3.1 (Taking a bribe/passive bribery committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy or by an organized group) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
