Names of sites that embezzled citizens’ money revealed

Over the past month, there has been a significant increase in the number of cases of cyber fraud, oxu.az reports with reference to a statement by the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security. It notes that one such element of cybercrime is fake pages created with the following domain names and templates using the names of government agencies or payment platforms.

Such sites, created under the guise of paying for utility bills or fines with special discounts and bonuses, attracting the interest of citizens with advertising through social networks, deceive them, redirect them to fake payment pages and steal funds by intercepting card data.

“We investigate such cases and block attackers throughout the country, and are actively working to ensure that citizens do not become victims of scammers. We urge citizens to be vigilant in the fight against fake pages, and members of the media to help educate about such methods of fraud.

It is also recommended to be more careful about advertised campaigns, clarify the information received and trust only official pages,” the message says.
