The former rector of Tafaccur University, who ordered the murder of the vice-rector 12 years ago, was arrested

In connection with the criminal case initiated on September 16, 2011 on the premeditated murder of the vice-rector of the Tefekkur University Center for Science and Education Tariel Akhmedov, Dayanat Guliyev was brought to justice in April of this year as a defendant under the relevant article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan.

Mushvig Atakishiev (customer) and Samir Guliyev (performer) were brought into the case as defendants under Article 120.2.5 of the Criminal Code (premeditated murder committed for mercenary reasons or for hire). In relation to Mushvig Atakishiyev, the court decided to select a preventive measure in the form of arrest with removal from his position, and in relation to Samir Guliyev – in the form of detention.
