Police detained a person accused of fraud

A person accused of fraud has been detained in Baku, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD).

It is noted that the 32nd station of the Surakhani district police department received information that an unknown person had fraudulently taken possession of citizens’ funds under the guise of organizing the sale of tour packages at low prices throughout the country. As a result of the operation, it was established that the criminal act was committed by a resident of the Absheron region, Elmin Dadashov (born 1994). He was detained.

The investigation established that the attacker created a fake page for a travel company on social networks and, after gaining online access to the victims’ funds, cashed them out through payment systems.

The investigation into this fact continues.
