A criminal case has been initiated into the circulation of counterfeit tax stamps

Based on information received about the circulation of counterfeit excise stamps and the production of low-quality products by officials of individual manufacturing enterprises, the Main Anti-Corruption Directorate under the Prosecutor General and the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan carried out joint operational search activities. As Trend reports, information about this was jointly disseminated by the Main Anti-Corruption Directorate under the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy.

Based on the evidence received, reasonable suspicions were identified that officials of the limited liability companies “Göygöl Şərab 2”, “Agsu-1”, “Gold Alko” and “Quseynoff vodka”, abusing their official powers, during the period November – December 2023 produced and sold domestic alcoholic beverages in non-compliance with quality standards, labeled these products with counterfeit excise stamps and trafficked illegally.
