ESS warns citizens about fraud on behalf of the bank

Cyber fraudsters have created a fake page in the Telegram application on behalf of Kapital Bank OJSC, oxu.az reports with reference to the Electronic Security Service (ESS). It is noted that this page shares information about false campaigns allegedly conducted by the bank.

To participate in the campaign, citizens are required to follow a fake link provided in the publication. Although at first glance this link looks like an official bank domain address, citizens are subsequently redirected to a false website in order to gain access to their bank card and other private information.

SEB recommends that citizens not trust unofficial pages and, when faced with information about campaigns carried out by a bank, first of all contact this institution or clarify the information by going to its official website.
