Baku City Prosecutor’s Office: paid more than 5 million manat in damages in criminal cases

In 2023, the Baku City Prosecutor’s Office completed preliminary investigations in 279 criminal cases, 197 of them were sent for consideration to the relevant courts. Report informs, this was discussed at an operational meeting of the Baku City Prosecutor’s Office following the results of 2023.

Of the material damage caused to the state, individuals and legal entities in the amount of 7 million 151 thousand 170 manats, compensation was provided to the injured party for damage in the amount of 5 million 141 thousand 511 manats (71.9%).

During the reporting period, 442,748 manats were paid to the state budget for the release of persons from liability in accordance with the law based on criminal prosecution materials.
