Azerbaijan handed over an internationally wanted citizen of this country to Uzbekistan

In October last year, the whereabouts of R.Kh. Karimov in Azerbaijan were established, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against him.

On the basis of the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters of October 7, 2002, a decision was made to extradite the detainee, who, accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, was handed over to the authorities of Uzbekistan.
