In Azerbaijan, prosecutors will be able to file a claim for restriction and deprivation of parental rights. According to oxu.az, this was reflected in the proposed amendment to the Family Code, which was discussed today at a meeting of the Milli Majlis. According to the draft, it is proposed to include the prosecutor’s office in the list of persons entitled to file a claim for restriction and deprivation of parental rights.

Currently, close relatives of the child, juvenile protection authorities, preschool, general education and other institutions can file a claim for restriction of parental rights.

The draft was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
