Internationally wanted person extradited from Hungary to Azerbaijan

On February 3, 2024, another person on the international wanted list was extradited to Azerbaijan. As Report was told in the Ministry of Justice, Ali Huseynov, accused of fraud causing large damages (Article 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan), was detained in Hungary.

Based on the request of the ministry, A. Huseynov was extradited from Hungary to Azerbaijan and placed in the Baku pre-trial detention center by court decision.

In addition, last month another person on the international wanted list was extradited from Colombia, and the issue of extraditing 2 persons who committed cyber and property crimes to Azerbaijan from European countries was also agreed upon.
