Suspect of 45 thousand manat fraud detained

As a result of operational-search activities carried out by employees of the Lankaran district police department, a resident of the city of Baku, Tural Aliyev, was detained, suspected of committing fraud causing significant damage, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It was noted that the man, introducing himself to a resident of the Lankaran region as a law enforcement officer, made false promises to release the latter’s son from prison and fraudulently misappropriated a total of more than 40 thousand manats.

In addition, T. Aliyev received about 5 thousand manats by promising another resident of the Lankaran region to help with a change of job.

The court ordered a preventive measure against him in the form of arrest.

An investigation into this fact is underway.
