Baku resident detained with 12 kg of drugs
A resident of the capital with a large batch of drugs was detained in the Jalilabad district, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, based on the information received, employees of the Jalilabad Regional Police Department (RPD) carried out an operation in the village of Farzili, as a result of which Baku resident Mamed Akhmedov was detained. 4.5 kg of heroin and 7.5 kg of packaged marijuana were found in his sports bag.
During the investigation, it was established that he acquired these drugs, illegally sent from Iran to Azerbaijan, with the aim of delivering them to the capital. M. Akhmedov was arrested.
