A judgement has been handed down against a man accused of murdering an acquaintance

The Sumgayit Serious Crimes Court completed the trial of the criminal case of Farid Mirzoyev, accused of murder. According to oxu.az, at a meeting chaired by judge Hafiz Aliyev, a verdict was read out, according to which F. Mirzoyev was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 12 years and 6 months. The accused will serve his sentence in a maximum security colony.

So, on July 22, 2023, at about 17:30, the police received information about the death of Sardar Abbasov (born 2005) from stab wounds. The case was recorded on the territory of the Mekhkalon residential area in the Absheron region.

During the investigation, it was established that Farid Mirzoyev (born 2005) inflicted fatal stab wounds on his friend S. Abbasov due to a conflict. Based on this fact, the prosecutor’s office of the Absheron region opened a criminal case under Article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. Farid Mirzoyev was detained as a suspect.

According to the charges, the incident occurred because of the girl.
