56 corrupt officials detained in Azerbaijan

In 2023, 56 people were detained in Azerbaijan on suspicion of corruption, haqqin.az reports with reference to the report of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2023.

According to the document, last year 30 people wanted for corruption crimes were detained.

During the reporting period, the Main Anti-Corruption Directorate under the Prosecutor General completed a preliminary investigation of 280 criminal cases against 405 individuals, of which 224 criminal cases against 336 individuals were sent to the courts for consideration.
