Judgment against officials arrested for bribery

The Supreme Court held a hearing on the cassation appeal against the verdict against Mirjavad Gashimov and Zakir Kazimov, accused of abuse of power and receiving a bribe, oxu.az reports. At a meeting chaired by Judge Vidadi Jafarov, it was announced that one of the accused had withdrawn his complaint.

The Lankaran Grave Crimes Court sentenced each to 8 years and 6 months in prison. The Shirvan Court of Appeal did not satisfy their complaint.
