The court sentenced the accused of murdering his wife

The Lankaran Grave Crimes Court has completed the trial of the criminal case of Murad Zamanov, accused of murdering his wife in the Salyan region, oxu.az reports. At the meeting chaired by Judge Javid Safarli, the judgement was read out, according to which M. Zamanov was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 9 years.

The crime was committed on the night of September 20, 2023 in the city of Salyan. Local resident Murad Zamanov (born 1965) strangled his wife Nazilya (born 1976) with a rope.

Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened at the Salyan district prosecutor’s office. The accused stated in his testimony that he killed his wife for adultery.
