8 kg of marijuana and heroin seized from a drug dealer

In the Saatli district, eight kilograms of marijuana and heroin were seized from a Baku resident suspected of drug trafficking. As Report was informed in the Shirvan regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the operation was carried out by employees of the Saatli district police department. The detainee turned out to be Gulmamed Aliyev. It was established that he became a drug courier at the suggestion of an Iranian citizen (identity to be established), whom he met on a social network.

In addition, as part of the operational activities of employees of the Saatli ROP, five people suspected of drug trafficking were detained over the past week.

Along with anti-drug measures, work continued to encourage the voluntary surrender of unregistered weapons by citizens. Thus, during the reporting period, 11 residents of the area voluntarily surrendered unregistered hunting weapons to the police.
