Military prosecutor’s office: the search continues for 18 people accused of committing genocide in Baganis-Ayrym
18 people have been put on the wanted list, who have been proven to have committed crimes against peace and humanity in the episode of genocide in Baganis-Ayrim, oxu.az reports with reference to APA and the senior assistant military prosecutor – head of the press service of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan, Senior Adviser of Justice Firad Aliyev.
According to him, decisions have been made to prosecute these persons as defendants under Articles 103 (Genocide) and 107 (Deportation or forced eviction of the population) of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic.
By a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against these persons, and documents to ensure their search were sent to the National Bureau of Interpol in Azerbaijan and the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan. Currently, under the leadership of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, State Counselor of Justice of the first rank Kamran Aliyev, comprehensive operational and investigative measures are continuing in this direction. Persons who have committed crimes against peace and humanity will definitely be punished.
