50 kg of drugs seized from drug courier in Azerbaijan

Police officers detained a man involved in drug trafficking in Baku and seized 50 kg of drugs from him. Report informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is noted that during the operation of the Main Directorate for Combating Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Garadagh region, Agil Alizadeh (born 1993) was detained. During a search in his car and house located in the Masalli district, drugs with a total weight of 50 kg were found, including 39 kg of marijuana, 7 kg of heroin, etc. The man stated that he acted as a courier, and received the drugs in the Astara district from a certain Farshad from Iran.

A criminal case was initiated into the fact; by a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against A. Alizadeh.
