The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan warned citizens about the tricks of cryptocurrency scammers

Cases of cryptocurrency fraud and fake cryptocurrency traps are increasing every day. As reported by oхu.az, this was announced by the head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Ministry of Internal Affairs) of Azerbaijan, Elshad Hajiyev.

According to him, the funds of several citizens wishing to buy cryptocurrency online were transferred from bank cards to unknown accounts.

“Yesterday alone, the damage caused to citizens amounted to about 20,000 manats. Criminal individuals or groups attract the attention of citizens by increasing exchange rates, creating “online currency exchange houses”, and robbing people. Although this exchange appears to be real in electronic circulation, it is in fact operated through fake pages, without any connection with exchanges, financial institutions or banks. Taking this into account, we urge citizens to be vigilant,” said E. Gadzhiev.
