Last year, more than 7 thousand citizens became victims of hackers in Azerbaijan. In 2023, the activities of 186 fake domains similar to the websites of government agencies were prevented in Azerbaijan, and 1 million 416 thousand emails were blocked due to malicious information. As APA reports, Deputy Head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security of Azerbaijan Allahveryan Ismailov said this during his speech at the conference “Digitalization of the criminal process: modern challenges and goals.”

According to him, during inspections in April last year, 695 security-related gaps were identified on the websites of government agencies: “Last year, 1,162 cyber attacks on government agencies were prevented.”
