“Electronic Lawyer Order” was presented in Baku

A presentation to the public of electronic orders, electronic contracts and other electronic services, organized by the Azerbaijan Bar Association, took place at the Badamdar Estate Hotel on Wednesday, April 3. The event was attended by members of the Presidium of the Collegium, representatives of public and private structures, non-governmental organizations, and the media, haqqin.az reports.

First, at the ceremony, a video report of the College on the work done in 2023 was shown. The Chairman of the Bar Association, Anar Bagirov, informed those invited to the presentation in detail about the work carried out in the College in recent years. He noted that recently the legal profession has been paying great attention to the use of information and communication technologies; certain projects have been signed in this area, including the “Electronic Lawyer Order” system created by the Collegium, which is already being used by lawyers.

“Among the work done, one of the most important was the launch of an electronic lawyer’s order. Now citizens can enter into an agreement for the provision of legal assistance with a lawyer from anywhere in the world online, without visiting law offices,” said Anar Bagirov. He further stated that the Bar Association is working towards harnessing the power of artificial intelligence. Thus, the Pro Bono chatbot, prepared by the Electronic Advocacy Committee of the Collegium, will be put into operation in the near future. This bot will provide Pro Bono (free) legal assistance to citizens using artificial intelligence.

Chairman of the “Electronic Advocacy” Committee Nihad Aliyev made a presentation of the “Electronic Lawyer Order” and electronic contracts. At the same time, a presentation of the Pro Bono chatbot took place. The event participants got acquainted with the “Electronic Human Resources Management” and “Electronic Office” systems.
