Police detained persons suspected of drug trafficking and robbery of a jewelry store

During the next operation carried out by employees of the 14th department of the Sabunchu District Police Department, Anar Majidov (born 1985), who was involved in drug trafficking, was detained, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is noted that during the search, more than 5 kg of marijuana was found on him. A. Majidov said that some time ago he planted hemp in the garden both for personal consumption and for sale.

The man had previously been convicted of growing drug-containing plants.

During another event, carried out by employees of the 14th police station, previously convicted Farhad Hajiyev was detained, who committed a robbery in one of the jewelry stores in the village of Mashtaga and stole rings and earrings worth 1,000 manats. In his testimony, he said that for this purpose he came from the village of Sahil, Garadagh region.

The investigation into both facts is ongoing at the RUP.
