9 kg of drugs were found in possession of two drug couriers in Bilasuvar district

As a result of successive operations carried out in the Bilasuvar region, persons intending to deliver drugs to Baku were detained. A total of 9 kg of various types of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were found in their possession, oxu.az reports with reference to the Lankaran regional press service group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Employees of the Bilasuvar district police department detained a resident of the Absheron district, Sahib Ismayilov. About 5 kg of opium, marijuana, methamphetamine and 140 methadone tablets were found and confiscated from him.

During another operation to combat drug trafficking in the Bilasuvar district, a resident of the capital, Rovshan Allahverdiyev, was detained. 4 kg of opium, heroin, marijuana and methadone tablets were found in his car.

During the investigation, it turned out that both detainees were involved in courier activities by foreign drug dealers and agreed to deliver drugs to the territory of Baku for a reward.

An investigation into these facts is underway.
