Continuation of consideration of the case in the court on theft of 143 million manats in the Ministry of defence

The trial continued in the criminal case of those arrested for embezzlement by the former head of the Finance and Budget Department of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, Major General Nizami Mamedov, the former head of the financial service of the Air Force, Colonel Jalal Kazimov, the head of the financial department of the Ground Forces of the Ministry of Defense, Bayram Bayramov, and the former head of the financial service of the Navy, Vusal Alizade. As APA reports, part of the testimony given during the preliminary investigation by the former head of the repair department of the Housing and Maintenance Department of the Ministry of Defense Rahim Lachinov was read out at the meeting.

Rahim Lachinov noted in his testimony that 18 percent of the money transferred since July 2017 was transferred to him: “15 percent of this amount was sent to Najmeddin Sadykov, and 3 percent to the Financial and Budgetary Department. I wrote all this from the words of Fikret Mirzoev. However, I did not know for sure whether Fikret muallim transferred these 3 percent to the financial and budgetary department or not.”

The trial will continue on May 24.
