Azerbaijan proposes to increase benefits for veterans

The benefit paid to veterans, which is only 80 manats, does not cover transportation and other expenses. As APA reports, deputy Agil Mamedov said this at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Labor and Social Policy.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Kerimov reported that 105 thousand of the social support measures provided to these individuals in the post-war period were related to social payments. He noted that social payments are not only reviewed periodically. The focus is also on their social integration, organizing the employment of their family members and the rehabilitation of wounded veterans. This issue is being resolved comprehensively.
