The Accounts Chamber appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office in connection with violations in the Ministry of Education of Nakhchivan
The Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Azerbaijan conducted a compliance audit to determine compliance with legal acts of the use of public funds and state property by the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and its subordinate budget-financed structures (in a selective manner), Trend reports with reference to the Accounts Chamber, the audit covered the year 2023 and during this period expenses for 24,303,436.26 manats were executed.
According to the report, in the educational institutions covered by the audit, non-compliance with regulatory requirements, the accrual of excess teaching hours, excessive payments, failure to conduct government procurement, exceeding the prices agreed upon in contracts, and deficiencies related to equipment were identified. Considering that these offenses may have elements of a crime, and also that the shortcomings identified in previous years also occurred this year, in accordance with Article 26.2 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the Accounts Chamber”, materials on the results of external state financial control were sent to the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
