State Border Service named the number of violators of the state border of Azerbaijan in May

During May, 126 people were detained for violating the state border, Report informs citing the press service of the State Border Service. Among them are 83 citizens of Azerbaijan, 30 citizens of Pakistan, 5 citizens of Iraq, 3 citizens of Iran, 3 citizens of Afghanistan, 1 citizen of Nepal and 1 citizen of Russia.

As part of measures to combat illegal migration, 16 people were detained while trying to cross the state border with false documents. In addition, 809 people were detained for violating border regulations.

Also in May, as part of measures to combat crime, law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan detained 316 people who were wanted.
