The court rendered a judgement in the case of fraud of the head of a construction company

The Baku Court of Grave Crimes has rendered a guilty verdict in a high-profile case of fraud in the construction industry of Azerbaijan, oxu.az reports. The director of Oba Construction, Emil Agayev, was found guilty of embezzling a large sum of money belonging to eight citizens.

According to the case materials, E. Agayev, through deception and abuse of trust, took possession of the victims’ funds totaling about 300,000 manats. The trial lasted several months.

The court agreed with the prosecution’s arguments and sentenced Emil Agayev to eight years in prison.
