Police detained drug trafficking suspects

Residents of Lankaran, suspected of purchasing 20 kilograms of drugs from an Iranian citizen, were detained, Report informs citing the Lankaran regional press service group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a result of measures to combat drug trafficking carried out by employees of the Liman police department of the Lankaran district unit, residents of the area Agil Veliyev and Anar Velizade were detained.

During an inspection of their Opel car, 20 kg of marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances was discovered and seized. During the investigation, it was established that Agil Veliyev purchased drugs from an Iranian citizen named Hafis, whose identity is being established.

The investigation into the fact continues.
