Police detained a suspect in the theft of funds from bank cards of pensioners

Police officers detained Nurana Mammadova, born in 1996, suspected of stealing funds from more than 100 bank cards, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. She was detained during an investigation into numerous complaints about missing money from bank cards.

The detainee admitted that the confidential data of citizens’ bank cards was given to her by her acquaintance Asif Samedov, who had already been detained for stealing bank card data of pensioners under the pretext of helping them withdraw money from ATMs.

Using the personal data of citizens’ cards, Mammadova registered in banking applications and received their money.

An investigation into the matter is underway. The court decided to arrest N. Mammadova.
