The former head of the financial service of the military police was sentenced

A sentence was handed down to Sadig Hajiyev, the former head of the financial service of the Military Police Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, who also worked as the head of the financial services of several military units and was accused of embezzling 1.9 million manats, Report informs. The verdict was announced at a hearing of the Baku Military Court chaired by Judge Jamal Ramazanov.

According to the court decision, Sadig Hajiyev was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

Sadig Hajiyev, who was the head of the financial service of the military police department, as well as several military units of the Ministry of Defense, was accused under Article 179.4 of the Criminal Code (Theft on an especially large scale) of theft of 1 million 900 thousand manats.
