Blackmail suspect detained

Employees of the Shirvan city police department detained a city resident, Taleh Gadirov, suspected of blackmailing and extorting money from citizens, threatening to disseminate information defaming them, oxu.az reports with reference to the regional press service group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, during the investigation it was established that T. Gadirov, posing as a veteran, embezzled 1,000 manats from a city resident and demanded the same amount from another person.

On this fact, a criminal case has been opened in the investigative department of the city police department, and an investigation is underway.

Other citizens who have suffered from T. Gadirov’s illegal actions can report this to the police.
