Sentence handed down to those accused in an armed incident at a hypermarket

The defendants were sentenced in Baku in connection with an armed incident in a hypermarket, Report informs. At the trial chaired by the judge of the Baku Court of Serious Crimes, Azad Majidov, Dayanat Gudratov was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Of the other defendants, Azer Mamedov was sentenced to 19 years, Sabuhi Gurbanov – to 18 years 6 months, Ibragim Ibragimov – to 19 years of imprisonment, previously released on bail Rovshan Ismailov – to 4 years 11 months 28 days, Babek Iskenderov – to 3 years 11 months 28 days imprisonment. Both of them were arrested in the courtroom.

Let us recall that an armed attack on cash collectors in one of the hypermarkets in the Khatai district of Baku occurred in March of this year. During the incident, bank employee Samir Sheydayev received a gunshot wound, and Rufat Khashimov, an employee of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport who was guarding him, died at the scene.
