Ministry of Internal Affairs: since the beginning of the year, 119 criminal groups that committed serious crimes have been neutralized

In Azerbaijan, 356 criminal groups were neutralized in the first half of the year as part of measures to combat organized crime, Report informs, citing information from a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs dedicated to the results of activities in the first half of the year.

Among them, 119 committed grave and especially grave crimes.

In addition, 179 people were prosecuted for illegal possession and carrying of firearms. A total of 2 tons 844 kilograms of narcotic drugs were seized from illegal trafficking, and more than 296 tons of narcotic plants were destroyed.
