Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime carried out a series of operations: there are detainees

Employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (“Bandotdel”) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan conducted a series of operations in the capital and regions against persons suspected of illegal possession of firearms, ammunition and organization of drug trafficking, oxu.az reports with reference. at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Five machine guns, two pistols, one TOZ-8 rifle with a shortened barrel and butt, and 170 rounds of ammunition were found in the possession of the eight people detained during the operations. During operations to combat drug trafficking, previously convicted Suraj Aliyev, Mehman Agasiyev, Lachyn Mustafayev, Emil Aliyev and Maharram Seyidov were detained. They were found with 35 kg of marijuana and heroin, as well as 228 cannabis bushes weighing 43 kg.

Based on the facts, criminal cases were initiated at the main department; by a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against the detainees. Efforts are ongoing to identify their criminal connections.
