A person who committed cyber attacks on the servers of various institutions detained

As a result of operational and technical measures carried out by employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan for the fight against cybercrime, Rajabov Shahin Rajab oglu, who introduced himself as an expert on Internet site security, was detained, APA reports.

It was established that Shahin Radjabov, having called various enterprises and organizations, introduced himself as a specialist in the security of Internet sites and noted that the servers and electronic services on which domains belonging to enterprises and organizations are located are under his control, and also sent to these enterprises fake invoices and demanded immediate payment, saying that otherwise he would completely suspend online services.

Thus, he demanded illegal funds from property owners so that domains and servers would not malfunction. A criminal case has been opened on the facts and the investigation is ongoing.
