A criminal case has been initiated into the death of the brothers in the Absheron region

The Absheron District Prosecutor’s Office has initiated a criminal case into the death of the brothers in the district, Report informs citing the press service of the supervisory agency. It is noted that on July 23, 2024, at about 19:00, the district prosecutor’s office received information about the death of two people in the village of Saray, Absheron region.

During the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that Mardan Bagirov, born in 1965, committed the murder of his brother Sarkhan Bagirov, born in 1962, by stabbing him in the apartment where they lived together, and then committed suicide by throwing himself from the balcony of the apartment.

Based on the fact, the Absheron District Prosecutor’s Office opened a criminal case under Articles 120.1 (premeditated murder) and 125 (incitement to suicide) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

Earlier it was reported that in the Absheron region a man stabbed his brother and committed suicide.
