16 kg of drugs were found on the seashore in Azerbaijan

Drug smuggling into the territory of Azerbaijan was prevented, APA reports with reference to the press center of the State Border Service. Thus, as a result of the measures taken in the territory of the village of Yashma in the Khizi district, a package of drugs was found on the seashore. During the inspection, 16 kilograms 025 grams of narcotics (heroin, methamphetamine) were found and seized.

Presumably, the package was thrown into the sea by an organized group of smugglers during operational and investigative measures carried out on June 25, 2024. An investigation is underway.
