Lawyer arrested on charges of fraud

Lawyer Fuad Aliyev has been arrested in Azerbaijan on charges of fraud, Report informs. He has been charged under Article 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code (fraud committed with causing major damage). The Garadagh District Court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of arrest for the lawyer.

According to the Bar Association, based on complaints from citizens, the presidium of the Bar Association decided to suspend Fuad Aliyev’s activities and apply to the court with a request to exclude him from membership.
