Appeal of the former chief of the financial service of the military police department rejected

An appeal has been filed against the judgement against Sadig Hajiyev, who worked as the Chief of the Financial Service of the Military Police Department and several military units of the Defense Ministry, APA reports. At the trial chaired by Judge Farid Eyyubov in the Baku Court of Appeal, the decision of the Baku Military Court was upheld.

The Baku Military Court sentenced Sadig Hajiyev to 11 years in prison. He is accused of embezzlement of 1.5 million manats. He is charged under Article 179.4 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan (embezzlement on an especially large scale).
