Sahiba Gafarova re-elected chair of Parliament of Azerbaijan

Sahiba Gafarova has been re-elected as the speaker of Azerbaijani Milli Majlis as the first session of the Azerbaijani Parliament’s seventh convocation is underway. She was nominated as the Chair of Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Parliament), APA reports.

Gafarova’s candidacy was proposed at the first session of the newly composed Milli Majlis held today. She was elected as the Speaker of the 7th Convocation of Milli Majlis.

Previously, Sahiba Gafarova served as the Speaker of the 6th Convocation of Milli Majlis.

Recall that on September 21, the Constitutional Court’s Plenum confirmed the results of the elections for the 7th Convocation of Milli Majlis during a special Constitutional session.
