A person who committed fraud against war participants detained

A fraud against war participants has been committed in the Nasimi district of Baku, APA reports with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, during the events held by the employees of the Nasimi District Police Department, Akhmad Abdulkarimov was detained, who seized the financial resources of individual citizens through fraud.

During the investigation, it was established that, posing as a former employee of one of the state institutions and a human rights activist, he deceived the war participants, promising them to register the apartments provided to them on preferential terms indefinitely, cars, insurance, disability benefits and appropriated almost 60 thousand manats from the victims.

Based on the fact, a criminal case was opened in the Nasimi District Police Department under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and the court decided to choose a preventive measure in the form of arrest against A. Abdulkarimov. Investigative measures in the case are ongoing.
