The Ministry of Interior Affairs confiscated 22 kg of drugs

Employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Drugs of the Interior Ministry confiscated 22 kg of narcotic substances as a result of an operation conducted in the Absheron region, Report informs citing the press service of the Interior Ministry.

The department reported the detention of Algadir Jahangirov, born in 2000, during the operation. About 22 kg of marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances were found in his Toyota.

The detainee planned to deliver the drugs to specific addresses. Jahangirov received the drugs from an Iranian citizen, whose identity is currently being established by the investigation. A criminal case has been opened against him, and the court has decided to arrest him.

Efforts to detain individuals who acted in collusion with Jahangirov are ongoing.
