Joint operation of the State Security Service and the State Border Service: a drone with drugs was intercepted

As a result of operational activities carried out jointly by the State Security Service (SSS) and the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan, the transportation of a large consignment of drugs into the territory of the republic was prevented, oxu.az reports with reference to the press center of the State Border Service. A drone was spotted on the service territory of the Horadiz border detachment, moving from the Islamic Republic of Iran in the direction of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

As a result of the measures taken, the drone was intercepted. Upon inspection of the package attached to it, 19 kg 700 g of marijuana and 1,500 M-40 methadone tablets were found.

Investigative and operational activities are ongoing on this fact.
