Customs officers prevented import of narcotic pills

Employees of the Astara Customs Department prevented the transit of a large consignment of narcotics from Iran to Russia through the territory of Azerbaijan, Report informs with reference to the Press and Public Relations Department of the State Customs Committee.

With the help of a stationary X-ray machine, it was possible to identify 9,981 methadone tablets in the water tank of a vehicle transporting computer accessories.
