More than 205 kg of drugs found on Azerbaijani Caspian coast

On October 6, 2024, the transfer of a large consignment of narcotics to the territory of Azerbaijan was prevented through the interaction of the Coast Guard units of the State Border Service (SBS) and border ships, APA reports with reference to the press center of the SBS.

Thus, as a result of the complex operational search activities carried out on the service territory of the coast guard in the village of Niyazabad, Khachmaz region, more than 205 kg of various types of narcotics and 13,110 tablets of the narcotic methadone M-40 were found.

Three citizens of Azerbaijan suspected of supplying narcotics to the territory of the country were detained on the coastal territory.

Investigative activities are ongoing on the fact.
